• How do I apply for a job with Meridian Staffing Services?

  If you'd like to be considered for an opportunity, but do not see a current job posting on Dice, CareerBuilder or Monster that matches your skills and experience, you may submit your resume in the Jobseeker section for future opportunities. Check out the homepage for links to our postings on Dice, CareerBuilder and Monster.

• Will I be charged any fees for working with Meridian to help me find a job?

  No, Meridian does not charge any fees to jobseekers.

• What type of benefits do you offer?

  Meridian does not provide health benefits to our contractors; however, we can provide you with information and resources to assist you in purchasing your own personal health benefits.  Meridian does offer you the opportunity to participate in our 401(k) plan after one year of service.

• Who are your clients?

• What is the average length of an assignment?

  The average length of a Meridian contracting assignment is nine months; however, the length of any assignment will vary based on the client’s needs.  Our team of experienced staffing professionals will work with you to place you in a position that fits your short and/or long-term goals.

• Do you staff for contract positions only?

  No.  We can assist you with contract, contract-to-hire and permanent-placement opportunities.

• What type of positions do you typically staff for?

  Meridian assists our clients with all of their information technology staffing needs.  This includes but is not limited to business analysts, developers, testers, etc.

• What is the recruiting process?

• How and when will I be paid?

  Meridian W2 consultants are paid semi-monthly based on hours worked for our clients.  Direct deposit is available.  If you are a sub-contractor, please discuss pay issues directly with your employer.  Corp.-to-corp. consultants submit invoices monthly and are paid within 30 days of receipt of an invoice for all hours worked and upon client approval of those hours.

• I am not a US citizen but I am authorized to work in the United States. Can I apply for any position?

  Most Meridian positions are open to any individual who is authorized to work in the United States.  This includes candidates with valid employment authorization documents (EAD), permanent resident cards and others as included on the employment eligibility verification I-9 form.  Some positions, particularly opportunities with our clients who contract with the federal government or clients identified as federal contractors, require candidates to be United States citizens.

• Will Meridian sponsor or accept a transfer of my visa?

  Meridian only hires individuals who are eligible to work in the United States.  At this time, Meridian does not offer any visa sponsorship

• I’ve never contracted before – how does it work and why should I consider this?

  Working with an IT staffing firm offers you more opportunities than if you were to seek employment on your own.  Our team of staffing professionals has developed strong business relationships with decision makers and hiring managers at our clients and within the business community as a whole.  Many open positions are not posted on company websites but instead are given to staffing professionals like Meridian to fulfill.  We provide a service to our clients that includes screening hundreds of resumes and selecting the best candidates.  We will work with you to ensure you are the best fit for the opportunity and then present your qualifications to the hiring manager.  Many positions begin as contract assignments and convert to permanent opportunities directly with the client.  This allows both you and the client to determine if a good job fit has occurred.  Some positions may remain as “contract” for an extended period of time.  Our team of experienced staffing professionals will work with you to place you in a position that fits your short- and/or long-term career goals.

• Will Meridian be able to place me on my next job?

  Of course we can.  The most important thing to remember is to stay in touch with your recruiter and keep him/her updated on your status – communication is key!  Be sure to contact your Meridian recruiter approximately six weeks before the expiration of your current contract so that we have sufficient time to identify new opportunities for you.
